Project story

The design.

The before photographs show a curved pool, raised spa, and an aging deck. The finished backyard follows the curve of the pool with pale coping and gives the patio room for seating beside the water.

Stone walls and boulders define the changes in level between the pool and lower garden. Planting softens the stone edges, and low lighting picks out the patio and planting after sunset.
